‘The month of Ramadān in which was revealed the Qur’ān, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong).’
Objective of fasting: ‘O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may attain Taqwā (piety).’ Al-Qur’ān 2:183
This Ramadān, our outstandingly zealous volunteers have delivered 135 Cakes to Churches, Gurdawara, Hospitals, Medical Centres, GP surgeries, Walk in Centre, Police Stations, Fire Stations, Nursing Homes, Sheltered Accommodations and to the homeless, in and around Sheffield and Rotherham. Masjid Quba and Education Centre sent these cakes as a gesture of goodwill during the blessed month of Ramadan. Ramadān is when Muslims do not eat and drink from Dawn to Sunset, a means to draw closer to God.
Prophet Muhammad (the seal of Prophets) Peace Be Upon him Said,‘spread Salaam (Peace) and share food.’
We endeavour to continue the initiative yearly. So see you next year!
